Full-Time Finance project specialist – ssc transformation & integration

One of the world’s largest IT organization and ranked within the top Fortune 500 companies – our client has a global presence and works with the big players in the industry. They are currently in the midst of transforming & integrating their professional centre of excellence in Malaysia, hence hiring a Finance Project Lead for their APAC regional finance shared services centre.

About the job

This position reports directly to the Regional Transformation Office Director & VP APAC Finance, working closely with the business, shared services and process owners across all streams (GL, AP, AR, Controllership, Tax, Controls etc.).

  • Overall project responsibility – managing multiple transformation/integration projects & transitioning processes into the business and shared services
  • Ownership of final project scope, budget and quality of transitions
  • Develops and maintains unified project plans, ensuring adherence to standard governance process
  • Maintains integrated view of all projects & responsible for overall program backlog, resource planning, risks, and tracking
  • Provide support, guidance and structure for integration team while onsite at business units
  • Collection and validation of project KPI baselines and targets
  • Risk mitigation support and continuous improvement
  • Deliver timely explanations of variances to project plans and forecasts
  • Schedule, participate in and lead site-level and integration meetings
  • Involved in system enhancements & testings.

Skills and experience required

The aspiring candidate should possess:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or any relevant fields
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience, within finance, accounting & project management.
  • Shared Services experience in a similar role is required,
  • Project management experience in setting up/expanding/integrating/transforming finance related shared services or leading major process improvements/tool/system rollouts is highly desirable.
  • Solid working experience in SAP is required,
  • Strong organizational, communication and collaboration skills to manage multiple stakeholders for value & strategic prioritization
  • Ability to simplify and reduce issues to their fundamental causes
  • Ability to determine clear decision rights and escalation processes & requires experience managing highly dynamic situations.
